The prairie is one of the rarest and most biodiverse ecosystems. Before European colonization in Wisconsin, there were 2.1 million acres of prairie. Less than 0.1% of native prairies remain today. This exhibition mockup focuses on the history of the prairie, flora, fauna, and the conservation method of prescribed fire, divided into four sections. It invites people to explore the Wisconsin prairie and see what goes on in them both through information and three-dimensional models. The open layout of the space allows participants to wander from area to area as freely.
