Squiggle

Squiggle is conceptual writing resource that is tailored to neurodivergent writers. Many neurodivergent people gravitate towards writing but can struggle to be successful at it. Perfectionism, time management, rejection sensitivity, and burnout are all major challenges. Since struggles are specific to each person, a variety of services are offered for users to engage with what they specifically need. Services include tailored workshops, writing swaps between peers, reviews by an instructor, a database of articles on relevant topics, and a publication of examples and prompts for inspiration. The goal is to give individuals the tools to write their own narrative of what it means to be neurodivergent, pushing back against stigma and misconceptions.

In initial sketches for the logo, I attempted to incorporate neurodiversity symbols (infinity loop, butterfly) with writing symbols (book, quill).

The logo places an open book atop the neurodiversity infinity symbol, to represent both the writing aspect of the site and turning a new page. The logomark replaces the top half of the two G's and can be used separately from the logo.

These posters set the design style for the brand. They use butterfly photography (a symbol of neurodiversity) and loose doodles lines to create a sense of being both fun and professional.

A zine would be released monthly with a different theme. Each addition contains poetry and prose examples, an article about the theme topic, and several writing prompts.
